Emotional and Binge Eating Coaching
Stop the food noise
What is emotional and binge eating?
Emotional eating is eating in response to feelings other than physical hunger. It affects both women and men. It is seldom about just the food itself and often more about the feelings around food.
Binge Eating Disorder is:
- Eating very large amounts of food in a short space of time.
- Feeling out of control during an episode of binge eating.
- Eating alone or in secret.
- Episodes result in significant shame, guilt, disgust, anger and self-hatred.
- Binging happens regularly, at least weekly for three months or more.

Improve your food life balance
When your relationship with food is out of balance, your life can start to revolve around eating, restriction and craving, leaving you removed from the life you want to live.
Finding your food life balance gives you freedom. Here are the things we’ll work through together:
Identify your triggers for eating
Separate your food from your feelings
Figure out the food, and other beliefs that are keeping you stuck
Approach your issue with more compassion
How does this coaching differ from general life coaching?
This coaching is more structured than general life coaching. In general life coaching, I tailor our session according to the needs of your specific issue from the beginning. With emotional and binge eating, there are specific tools I will introduce you to in our first sessions.
At some point, things will become more bespoke as we start to uncover your blocks with food and work with them.

Will I lose weight?
This coaching does not constitute a weight loss programme. It is about improving your relationship with food. Weight loss might or might not be a consequence.
What about anorexia and bulimia?
Anorexia and bulimia require specialised help that is beyond what I do so I don’t take on clients who need help with those disorders.
What are your qualifications?
I qualified as an Emotional Eating and Binge Eating Disorder Specialist in 2025 through Eating Freely in Ireland.
How long before I see results?
That will depend on you. Many clients gain helpful insights into their eating from the second week onward.
There is usually quite a bit of work to do to disrupt patterns you have, which is why I recommend that we start with a 12 session block.
How much does this coaching cost?
I recommend that you start with twelve 60-minute sessions and book them once a week for at least the first eight sessions and every two weeks after that. This enables us to get through the material in the course and apply it to your specific situation. I appreciate that this is a significant investment of your time.
The cost of 12 sessions is NZ$2100. This session block includes a reasonable amount of between-session communication if you need it.
Single sessions after that are NZ$130 each.
Are sessions in person or online?
Either. We can meet on Zoom or in person. I do not work from an office in person but I’m happy for us to agree on a place to meet. I also offer walking coaching so we can make the most of nature.
